ABOUT ME
I am a neuroethologist and behavioral endocrinologist broadly interested in the physiological mechanisms underlying variation in behavior and communication across species, sexes, and individuals. I am currently a postdoctoral associate at the University of Minnesota (UMN) in Dr. Karen Mesce's lab working on uncovering the neural and molecular mechanisms regulating crawling recovery in medicinal leeches. I recently completed a postdoctoral position at UMN with Drs. Mark Bee and Alex Baugh investigating the neuroendocrine correlates of mating in Northern tree frogs. I earned my PhD in Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior from Indiana University in 2023. My work in Dr. Troy Smith's lab focused on the neuroendocrine mechanisms regulating variation in sociality and signaling across species of South American weakly electric knifefishes.
